Building Craftsperson (Mason)
£19,349 per annum | Permanent f/t (37.5 hours pw)
Our South Lakes property in the Lake District is one of the most diverse, interesting and challenging properties in the whole of The National Trust. We look after some of the most beautiful and iconic parts of the Lake District around Hawkshead/Coniston and Windermere with very strong links to Beatrix Potter and her legacy of land, farms and buildings and artwork.
Joining us as a Mason, you’ll provide a highly professional and practical building service to our historic mansions, houses and other buildings. You’ll use your practical, hands-on experience to ensure we can continue to conserve and maintain these beautiful places for future generations by providing the highest standards of skills. You’ll undertake conservation repairs, ensuring that the correct materials and methods are used. You’ll be familiar and competent with traditional methods of mason repairs and will be confident making judgments on what repairs are needed. Due to the nature of this role a full driving licence is required.
